2021 is finally upon us, and 2020 is (thankfully) in the rear view mirror. We ended 2020 with a full moon in Cancer, which seems rather fitting for the year we had huh? But nevertheless, we won’t spend time reflecting on the past as we’ve done that enough already. Moving forward… here are 3 things you need to do in 2021!

  1. Meditate

This seems like such a cliche’ right? It’s 2021, everyone is telling you to “connect with your higher self” or “call on your ancestors” or “meditate and manifest the life you deserve”. I get it. It’s overused, but true Spirituality is not a trend. When used correctly, meditation is a powerful tool for a number of things, not just manifesting. It can help with anxiety, stress, confusion, anger, and the list goes on. When you’re feeling like you’re no longer in control of your emotions, try meditating.

Sit in a quiet room. Lie down and let your entire body relax. Focus all of your attention on your breathing, and try to clear your thoughts. It’s a lot easier said than done, and you won’t be able to shut off your mind on the first few tries. That’s okay. Let thoughts come to you and leave just as quickly. Do not focus too much attention on any one thought. Try doing this for about 10 minutes and you’re done! See, easy right?

2. Manifest

What is manifesting? I feel like a lot of us have heard the word, but have no real idea what it means. The good old Webster’s Dictionary will tell you that it’s a verb meaning, “to display or show by one’s acts or appearance; to demonstrate.” It might even say, “to become apparent through the appearance of symptoms”. When you break down manifesting scientifically that definition may very well be true. Manifestation is bringing something to life through the appearance of symptoms, but we want to look at this on a much deeper level. Spiritually, manifestation is simply having a thought, feeding that thought with positive energy, and that energy manifesting into your physical experiences.

Simply put, it is the belief that you can and will accomplish your goal. The key to manifesting is visualizing, putting genuine emotion into your visualization, and believing that it is already yours.

3. Repeat

It’s pretty self explanatory, but we’ll talk about it anyway. In order to manifest the life you desire, you’ll need to repeat these steps often. Like most things in life, meditation and manifestation take practice. Doing this over and over again will get you familiar with the process and become muscle memory. When I first began meditating I couldn’t stay focused for longer than 10 minutes. Now, I can fall into a meditation at will. Be patient with yourself. Find your center. Trust that you are divinely protected. ✨
