Even though Black History Month ended on February 28th, my history cannot be confined to one month. So, I’ma do it one more time for the culture. (No Migos.)
My homies over at Supreme Branding Co. had quite a bit of BHM merchandise, and I had to cop one of these hats. This hat is so much more than a hat to me. It represents who I am as an individual. More of my generation is starting to embrace its heritage. Features that we were once ashamed of, or considered inferior are now superior. We realize that we have the power to influence as our culture is often appropriated. Fashion and hip hop pretty much contribute to the foundation of black culture.
Although, it is March in central Alabama, it’s still a little chilly out so I could pull off these thigh high boots and faux fur bomber with no problem. So, I hope you all love this outfit just as much as I do, and remember… I am black history!
